Loss of Income Grant

The South Australian and Commonwealth Governments have announced Small Business Support Grants of up to $10,000 to support eligible small businesses (including primary producers) who have experienced a significant loss of income due to the South Australian bushfires that commenced 21 November 2019.

The South Australian Small Business Support Grant is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and South Australian Governments under the Disaster Recovery Arrangements.

  • What are the eligible affected areas?

    This grant is available in the following local council areas:
    • Kangaroo Island
    • Adelaide Hills
    • Kingston
    • Mid Murray
    • Mount Barker
    • Murray Bridge
    • Yorke Peninsula
    These grants are also available to small businesses and primary producers who work within these eligible disaster areas on a regular basis, provided they can demonstrate significant impact.
  • What does the grant support?

    The grant is supporting eligible small businesses to recover from the bushfires and rebuild resilient businesses.

    Support might include:
    • meeting business costs, including utilities, salaries and rent
    • seeking financial advice to support the recovery of the business
    • developing the business through marketing and communication activities
    • making improvements to the business to be more resilient to future disasters.

The online application form, together with supporting documentation, must be submitted by 30 September 2020.
