The South Australian and Australian Governments have funding available to financially support South Australian businesses to employ an apprentice or trainee.
There has never been a better time to take on a new apprentice or trainee with significant subsidies available that have reduced training and employment cost for business.
The subsidies are in place until September 30 next year and based on a sliding scale so the sooner the decision is made to take on an apprentice or trainee the greater the level of subsidy.
The State Government is also establishing a new South Australian Skills Commission to lead workforce development, promote apprenticeships, traineeships and micro-credentials and promote pathways between secondary school, vocational education and training and lifelong learning.
