Women in Business Foundations Program

Empowering women to build foundational skills to run and grow their business

The Women in Business Foundations Program is designed to support women business owners to build crucial management skills, gain confidence and develop growth strategies for their business.

Delivered by Adelaide Business Hub, the program provides practical, tailored support for women at different stages of their business journey, including women developing a new business idea and those looking to strengthen or grow an existing business.

What do you get?

Eligible women business owners can access tailored mentoring and advisory support from experienced business experts, including up to six one-on-one mentoring sessions at a subsidised cost of $220.

  • Human resources
  • Insurance
  • Tax and legal requirements
  • Business planning
  • Growth strategies
  • Digital marketing
  • Cyber security preparedness
  • Securing finance
  • Using AI

Launch Your Own Business workshops

Women who are developing an idea or taking their first steps into business can also access Launch Your Own Business workshops, providing practical guidance to help turn an idea into a strong business foundation.

The program is available across metropolitan, regional and remote South Australia and supports women from a broad range of backgrounds and circumstances.

Who is this for?

The program is open to eligible South Australian women who own a small business or are preparing to start one.

To apply for tailored mentoring and advisory support, you must:

  • identify as a woman
  • own a small business in South Australia with a current registered ABN
  • employ fewer than 20 people.

Eligible business structures include sole traders, partnerships, proprietary limited companies and trusts.

The program is open to new participants only.

Separate eligibility criteria may apply to the Launch Your Own Business workshops.
