Teagan & Bradyn Fisher, Fisher Kitchens

Founded in 2014 by husband-and-wife team Teagan and Braydn Fisher, Fisher Kitchens is a South Australian-based cabinetry business driven by a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces that feel like home. Starting out in a small backyard shed, the couple has grown Fisher Kitchens from humble beginnings into a thriving operation based in Woodside, now employing a dedicated team of ten.

Known for their hands-on approach and attention to detail, Teagan and Braydn take pride in their work and have built the business primarily through word of mouth and repeat clients who value the team’s commitment to excellence.

While the creative and technical side of building kitchens came naturally to the couple, the business side presented new challenges. Learning to manage cash flow, growth, staffing, and operational efficiency was a steep curve, but one they embraced with enthusiasm. One of their biggest takeaways has been the importance of stepping back to work on the business rather than being consumed by the daily grind of working in it.

In recent years, sustainability has become a major focus for Fisher Kitchens. Motivated by both personal values and a growing interest from clients, Teagan and Braydn joined the Small Business Sustainability Support Program, delivered by 2XE. Through workshops, consultations, and on-site assessments, they gained valuable insights into reducing their carbon footprint and improving energy efficiency. One major outcome of this initiative has been their decision to install solar panels at their manufacturing site—an investment that not only aligns with their values but also reduces overheads in the long run.

“Our experience in the program was really positive. We have gained lots of insight and new information after participating in the workshops,”

The program also opened doors to valuable connections within the industry, including collaborations with like-minded local cabinet makers. These relationships have helped build a sense of community and shared purpose, especially around sustainable practices.

Their long-term vision is to create a sustainable, values-driven company that continues to deliver exceptional custom cabinetry while supporting local employment and evolving with industry trends.

With a deep commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and community, Fisher Kitchens is not just a business - it’s a reflection of the values and vision of its founders.
