Help revive our river communities

A new voucher program aimed at boosting tourism in river communities affected by recent flood waters has been launched by the South Australian Government as part of a $4.6 million recovery plan.

The River Revival Voucher program will allocate more than 25,000 vouchers in values of $50, $100 and $200 for people to use on accommodation and tourism experiences across the Riverland, Murray River and Coorong regions.

A $750 houseboat voucher will also be introduced in rounds two and three, enabling people to book houseboat holidays in the winter and spring.

The first round of voucher programs will be available for use in April, May and June, including the Easter break and the April school holidays.

The voucher program complements the “Rise up for our River” marketing campaign which aims to showcase iconic river locations and highlights tourism operators along the river which were significantly impacted by the flooding event.

Registrations for the ballot open on Monday, 27 March and close on Wednesday, 29 March.
