South Australian drought support for small and family businesses

Information, grants and support available

Drought conditions continue to place significant pressure on small and family businesses across South Australia.

With many regions experiencing their lowest rainfall on record, local businesses and the communities they support are feeling the ongoing strain.

This is why the South Australian Government is investing $73 million in the Drought Support Package.

If you’re a small and family business owner in a drought-affected region, support is available to help you manage the impacts of drought.

Small Business Fundamentals

Tailored mentoring, workshops, and training sessions to help small and family businesses build essential business knowledge, skills and capabilities.

Rural Support Grants

Grants of up to $1,500 to cover essential household costs including utilities, council rates, medical appointments, and more. Delivered through the Rural Business Support Relief Fund.

South Australia Drought Loan Scheme

Loans of up to $250,000 are available with a loan term of up to 10 years for drought affected grain and livestock farmers.
