Energy Efficiency Grant Program - Final Call for Applications

The SA Government’s Energy Efficiency Grant Program has been a huge success, with hundreds of South Australian small businesses applying for funding to improve energy efficiency, cut costs and reduce their carbon footprint.

Due to the high volume of applications, the Program funding is almost exhausted. Applications remain open and will continue to be assessed until the total funds have been allocated. You will be notified as soon as possible of the outcome of your application.

Be sure to submit your application before the deadline of 5:00 PM (ACST) on Friday, 29 November 2024 to secure your chance at accessing available funding under this important Program. Note the program may be closed early should funding be exhausted.

Please note, if your application is incomplete or does not have the correct attachments or evidence as requested in the application form, your application may be removed from the queue and deemed ineligible for a grant.

If you have any questions about the application process, please contact us at smallbusinessenergygrants@sa.gov.au or phone (08) 8429 7700.

Give back to the environment.

In a net zero future, small businesses have a crucial role to play in monitoring and reducing our population's carbon footprint.

Being more environmentally sustainable can benefit your business at all levels, including:

  • attracting new customers seeking environmentally friendly products and services
  • attracting and retaining staff looking to work for companies who are actively addressing climate change
  • being part of local and global supply chains with emissions reduction targets
  • cost savings from becoming more energy and water efficient and reducing waste.

Get back your money.

If you’re an eligible small business or not-for-profit, you can apply for a Small Business Energy Efficiency Grant to help you purchase new equipment to save on your energy bills.

By investing in energy-efficient upgrades, you’ll not only give back to the environment – you'll also get back up to half your cash outlay*.

That means if you purchase equipment or solutions between $5,000 and $100,000 (ex-GST), you can apply for a grant to receive between $2,500 and $50,000 back.

Grant applications are open until Friday 29 November 2024.
