Promoting your business to new audiences and engaging with your customers through social media can be a cost effective first step in building your business, but there are some things you should consider before diving into it.

Social media management can be very time consuming when the platforms continually evolve and change, and we know how tough it is already being a small business owner. Take a look at popular platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, YouTube, and TikTok. You want to check out each platform’s user demographics, levels of engagement (likes, comments and shares) and the types of content (photos, videos and text) that have high engagement on each platform. This will give you an idea of which platforms are a good fit for your business and how to use them effectively.
