A message from the Minister for Small and Family Business

It’s been another year of delivering for small businesses as the Malinauskas Government marked two years of our Small Business Strategy.

More than 15,000 business owners have taken part in our programs, including 4,000 in the Women in Business Program, designed to provide tailored support to small business owners.

I’m proud of what we’ve achieved this year as we continue to strongly support those businesses that have been impacted by drought and the algal bloom.

It is a privilege in this role to meet so many local business owners across the metro area as well as regional and rural South Australia; to hear your aspirations and challenges, and what you need from government to thrive and grow with confidence.

Early next year a new AI Capability Pilot Program will launch, giving you the skills and confidence to adopt AI in your business operations.

That’s in addition to the suite of programs that are available for upskilling and mentoring opportunities, mental health support and sustainability.

Small and family businesses are the beating heart of South Australia’s economy and communities.
