Connect with skilled migrant talent

If you’re finding it difficult to fill a key role in your team, you’re not alone.

Skills shortages are affecting businesses across South Australia, especially in industries like construction, ICT and engineering.

What you might not know is that there’s a pool of skilled migrants already living in South Australia, that can bring valuable global experience and fresh ideas to your operations, with many simply needing the right connection to a local employer like you.

The Department of State Development’s Skilled Migration Talent and Industry Connection Program can help facilitate these connections.

The program offers free, government-supported services to help small business owners to identify and engage skilled migrant talent to meet their workforce needs.

Delivered through six local partners, the program provides support in recruitment, job matching and onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into your workplace.

One of the program’s key delivery partners is Community Corporate, a social enterprise specialising in multicultural workforce solutions. Carmen Garcia, the founder of Community Corporate, said that through their new SA Skilled Migrant Job Support Centre, South Australian businesses can receive support to find the skilled talent they need.

“Our new SA Skilled Migrant Job Support Centre is a one-stop-shop for businesses to access skilled migrants to fill current and future vacancies, in priorities areas including ICT, Engineering and Construction,” says Carmen.

“Our specialists can provide free support services including recruitment advice, pre-screening and job matching to help make it easier for small businesses to tap into this hidden pool of talent.

“You can express interest via our website and you will be contacted to get specific details on the roles and requirements you are looking to fill.”
