Launch of Australia’s first National Small Business Strategy

The Federal Government recently launched the first National Small Business Strategy to support Australia’s nearly 2.6 million small businesses.

Developed in collaboration with the Commonwealth, state and territory governments, along with key stakeholders, the strategy outlines how different levels of government will work together to better support small businesses across the country.

The strategy provides a framework for effective coordination across government to:

  • elevate small businesses in government decision making
  • complement existing work in state and territories
  • inform policy making to deliver better outcomes for small businesses.

The strategy is a commitment to drive a coordinated, collaborative and cohesive national approach to small business policies and support.

The National Small Business Strategy is available online at the Treasury website.
