Learning and skills development recognised at South Australian Training Awards

Twelve of the state’s best and brightest vocational education and training (VET) students, apprentices, employers, training organisations and teachers have been awarded the top honours at the 2022 South Australian Training Awards.

The awards were presented at a ceremony at the Adelaide Convention Centre on August 25 and coincided with National Skills Week and showcased some of the best examples of vocational education and training in South Australia.

This year also saw a significant increase in regional finalists, with five of 12 award recipients coming from regional South Australia.

Two organisational category finalists were regional and Indigenous-run corporations, with one of them – Regional Anangu Services Aboriginal Corporation (RASAC) – winning the Small Employer of the Year category. RASAC employee, Angelina Dunnett, also won Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year.

The 2022 South Australian Training Awards winners will now represent the state at the 2022 Australian Training Awards, which will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre on 18 November.
