Temporary ATO support for businesses affected by high fuel costs

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is providing temporary support for eligible businesses affected by high fuel costs.

This includes more flexible payment plan arrangements, possible remission of general interest charges and other penalties, and support to vary PAYG instalments where there has been a reduction in taxable income.

The support is available until 30 June 2026. During this time, businesses and their tax professionals can assess eligibility through ATO’s online services.

The ATO’s usual support options also remain available, and businesses are still encouraged to lodge on time, even if they are unable to pay in full. For more information and to check your eligibility, visit the ATO website.
