Energy efficiency projects calculator

1. Input your first energy efficiency opportunity but do not click “Calculate” just yet, unless this is the only item you intend to purchase. (The minimum “total installed capital cost” needs to be $5,000 to generate a calculation).
2. If purchasing more than one item, you can select the “Add another opportunity” and add the required information for each additional purchase.
3. Ensure you add all the items you want to include in your grant application before you select “Calculate”.
4. Select “Calculate” and you will be taken to a new page that includes a summary of savings per item and total savings for all items selected.
5. Click “Print & Save” to save the completed calculation. This calculation needs to be included with your application.

All calculations are based on an electricity rate of 0.45 c/kWh and an annual usage of 36500 kWh (100 kWh per day) if you know your actual electricity rate or usage you can change this value for increased accuracy.
