Registered Training Organisations

If you are a non-government Registered Training Organisation in South Australia, you may be eligible for Building Capability Projects and the VET Market Continuity Package.

  • Building Capability Projects

To build the capacity of registered training providers (RTOs), we have expanded the Building Capability Projects guidelines to include a new category and to make them more flexible to respond to the changing environment during and post COVID-19.

RTOs can apply for up to $50,000 for innovation, development and/or research projects that assist in building capability and capacity, share learnings with the VET sector and collaborate closely with industry partners.

Applications are now open. For more information visit our Building Capability Projects webpage or email skills@sa.gov.au to connect with a project consultant about opportunities.

  • VET Market Continuity Package

To support the sector to maintain its viability and continue to build its training delivery capacity in response to COVID-19, the $16 million VET Market Continuity Package includes:

    1. A $4 million investment that enables training providers to put in place new delivery models and technology to support training, students and employers.
    2. Continuity of subsidy payments at pre-COVID-19 activity levels for a period of three months until June 2020 (April, May and June), after which payments will be reviewed.

The VET Market Continuity Package is in addition to the already announced South Australian and Commonwealth Government stimulus and support packages.

To apply: All eligible training providers will be contacted by the Department for Innovation and Skills with further information.
