3 ways the new State Brand toolkit can support your marketing

South Australian businesses often have a strong local story to tell, from where they operate and what they produce to the people and places behind their work.

Brand SA’s new State Brand toolkit brings together free images and videos, updated logos, templates and other resources to help businesses showcase what makes them South Australian.

Anyone can browse the toolkit and explore the available resources. To download and use assets, including the new ‘Proudly South Australian’ logo, your business must be registered to use the State Brand.

To join Brand South Australia, your business will need to demonstrate its local credentials, such as:

  • More than half of your inputs, ingredients or components of products or services come from South Australia.
  • Your business or other headquarters are located in South Australia.
  • More than 30% of business operations are in South Australia.

Registration is free and you can apply here.

Keen to learn how the toolkit can support your marketing? We share three tips below.

The 'For Businesses' album in the new toolkit includes updated logos, printable promotional signage, social tiles, how-to videos and brand guidelines to help businesses apply the State Brand correctly.

These resources can support consistent use of the brand across websites, social media, brochures, signage, packaging and other approved marketing materials.

For example, a manufacturer could use the State Brand to highlight that its products are made in South Australia, while a retailer or service provider could use approved assets to promote their Proudly Australian status.

Strong visuals can help bring your South Australian story to life.

The toolkit includes photography and video from a range of industries, sectors and locations that can be used to support your marketing and communications.

Use the photography and video across your website and marketing materials to complement your South Australian story. Whether on your 'About Us' page or alongside content highlighting your South Australian credentials, these assets help strengthen your brand by aligning your business with the quality, authenticity and distinctive character of South Australia.

The toolkit also includes messaging and fact sheets to help you communicate what makes your business distinctly South Australian. Whether you're writing website copy, creating marketing materials or speaking with customers, these resources can help you tell a consistent story that reinforces your South Australian credentials.

A regional business could use the fact sheets to provide more context about its local area, while a professional services business could use the messaging guidelines to strengthen its website content, proposals or customer conversations.
