New grants to boost productivity in your business

A new grant program is inviting South Australian manufacturers to roll out projects that encourage the adoption of new 4.0 technologies.

The new Manufacturing Technology Adoption Program (MTAP) is offering up to $50,000 (excluding GST) in matched funding to support the adoption of productivity-boosting technologies in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Eligible projects include the development of new or enhanced products, support to enter new markets or increase the competitiveness of the business.

What are 4.0 technologies?

Industry 4.0 technologies are a platform of digital and new technologies that enable smarter manufacturing.

Whether you’re using Internet of Things (IoT) devices to track inventory or using software or robotics to collect and analyse data for better decision making, digital technologies can boost efficiencies, improve quality and boost productivity in your operations.

Relevant technologies may include, but are not limited to:

  • Artificial intelligence
  • Augmented and virtual reality
  • Additive manufacturing
  • Advanced composite materials
  • Robotics and automation
  • Machine learning and data analytics
  • Internet of Things
  • Blockchain
  • Optics and photonics
  • Quantum technologies
