New relief package for businesses

New relief package for businesses

South Australian businesses that continue to be significantly impacted by ongoing COVID-19 density and trading restrictions may be eligible for additional financial support.

The Australian Government and Government of South Australia came together to announce a new $3000 cash grant program for businesses (and $1000 for sole traders) in eligible industry sectors—such as hospitality, creative venues and artists, tourism, gyms and transport.

Businesses based in the Adelaide CBD may be also eligible for an additional $1000, acknowledging the significant decrease in city foot traffic.

This new relief package targets businesses that have experienced a decline in turnover of 30 per cent or more over a two-week period as a result of trading restrictions imposed on July 28, 2021.

Applications will open Friday 13 August and will close at 11:59pm on 17 October 2021.
