Small Business Week is almost here! Here's what's still to come

Small Business Week returns from 17-21 August, bringing together practical ideas, expert advice and opportunities for you to learn, connect and discover new ways to strengthen your businesses.

With a wide range of events available online and in person across metropolitan Adelaide and regional SA, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Not sure where to start? Here are five events to add to your calendar.

1. Start the week at the Small Business Expo

The Small Business Expo at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Monday 17 August is the perfect way to kick off Small Business Week.

Connect with business owners and industry experts while exploring the wide range of services available to help your business grow.

Hear from 9News Finance Editor Chris Kohler as he shares insights into economic trends and changing conditions impacting Australian businesses.

A panel of South Australian business leaders will also discuss how they have responded to challenges, adapted to changing conditions and identified opportunities for growth. The panel will feature Kelly Kuhn from Murray River Dark Sky Tours, Richard Petterson from Tindo Solar, Jodie Hawkes from Bowhill Engineering and George Georgiadis from Never Never Distilling Co.

You can also connect with more than 20 government agencies, business organisations and program providers, including the Office for Small and Family Business, Small Business Commission SA, Consumer and Business Services, the ATO, SA Business Chamber, Be Well Co and Adelaide Business Hub.

Exhibitors will offer support across business growth, sustainability, mental health and wellbeing, women in business, workplace matters and more.

2. Understand your funding options with Raising Capital 101

Accessing finance can be an important step in growing a business but knowing where to start can be challenging.

Delivered by Roseanne Healy, Raising Capital 101 will help business owners better understand investment options, what investors look for and how to prepare when exploring opportunities to secure funding.

3. Explore the future of food and drink
