Thousands supported under SA’s small business strategy

Thousands of South Australians have participated in capability-building programs, events and training to grow their business in the year since the State Government launched SA’s Small Business Strategy 2023-2030.

With 19 of the 20 initiatives outlined in the Strategy now underway, more than 5,800 people have taken part in the Strategy’s capability-building programs, training and workshops, mentoring and networking events to drive growth in their business.

More than $14.25 million in funding has been committed by the State Government to deliver key policies and programs under SA’s Small Business Strategy to grow and support the state’s small business sector.

Learn more about the support on offer and how businesses are benefiting from the programs:

“Through the Strategy’s programs, we are seeing more workshops, mentoring and training sessions being delivered in the regions. This is vital for regional businesses, who deserve as much support as our counterparts in metropolitan areas so that they can upskill and stay competitive. Simple actions like not having to travel in a vehicle and drive a three-hour round trip to access a training opportunity or personalised support can save businesses time and money.”

“Attending the Small Business Fundamentals Workshop has enlightened me. It revealed blind spots I overlooked after years in the industry. Now, we're actively engaging with Connecting Women in Business events, leveraging newfound insights, skills, and relationships to invigorate our business further."
