Legal Considerations in Family Business

This workshop will enable participants to:

  • Understand what how the legal framework intercepts with governance.
  • Why owning and running a family business are distinct and attract different legal responsibilities.
  • Why every family member in and out of the business needs to understand the impact of legal responsibilities and governance.
  • An introduction to the key areas of personal and commercial risks in a legal context.
  • Be able to identify gaps in their current legal governance knowledge to assess further skills and steps needed to be taken to ensure compliance and understanding of obligations.

These workshops will be held across three dates, and can be attended online or in person.

  • 1st series: Mon, 24 June 2024, 1:00pm - 4:00pm ACST
  • 2nd series: Thurs, 29 August 2024, 9:30am - 12:30pm ACST
  • 3rd series: Thurs, 24 October 2024, 9:30am - 12:30pm ACDT
