New funding to improve energy efficiency for small businesses
Up to 8,000 eligible small businesses and not-for-profit organisations will have access to Small Business Energy Grants, which aim to help you become more energy efficient and reduce energy bills.
The $20 million program – to open in August 2024 – will provide grants between $2,500 and $50,000 for investments in energy efficient equipment or other improvements that reduce and manage your energy usage and costs.

Training places to boost the state’s future skills needs
More than 160,000 new training places will be made available to prioritise the state’s future skills needs in areas including defence, health, building and construction, early childhood education, clean energy transition and ICT. This includes a 20 per cent increase in TAFE SA places in regional SA.
The South Australian Government will also allocate $13.3 million to support the state’s workforce planning and defence industries pathways programs.
SA Young Entrepreneur Scheme extended
The South Australian Young Entrepreneur’s Scheme (SAYES) – a business mentoring, advice and support program delivered by SA Business Chamber – will be expanded to help more South Australian entrepreneurs across all age groups to develop and grow your existing business.
The 12-month program gives participants the tools and resources to run a successful business and includes face-to-face mentoring with industry leaders.
Family and business support for primary producers and regional communities
Rural financial counselling and family business support mentoring programs will be available to primary producers and regional communities to help you manage the future impacts of adverse events and industry challenges.
