See it LIVE funding of up to $60,000 to help you host more live music at your venue

The new See It LIVE grant will support costs associated with presenting original live music in 2024, which also includes access to business advice to help you maximise your venue’s opportunity.

Applications have now closed for grants of up to $60,000 for eligible live music venues to put towards live music costs such as artist fees, crew fees, marketing, equipment hire and more, with a focus on original content to attract patrons and create employment opportunities for local musicians, lighting, and sound techs.

Dedicated live music venues provide an essential platform for artists to showcase work and grow audiences, and as cultural assets they play a significant role in creating the vibrancy that contributes to South Australia’s liveability.

Successful grantees will also receive access to business advisory services through a new collaboration between the Music Development Office and the Office for Small and Family Business.

The $850,000 See it LIVE Music Activation Fund is delivered through the Music Development Office and aims to support small, dedicated live music venues in South Australia and sustainability in the state’s live music industry. Additional rounds may be made available until the total budget allocation for this program is exhausted.

Eligibility and applications

To be eligible, venues must be a dedicated live music venue with a capacity of 500 people or less, who regularly host live music performances. They must also have a permanent stage where live music forms a significant part of their operations.
