New grants to help you save on your power bills

Energy can be one of the biggest operational costs for small businesses and not-for-profit organisations.

The Small Business Energy Efficiency Grant can help you significantly reduce your energy costs and improve your bottom line, while giving back to the environment.

The grant consists of matched funding for you to replace and update to energy-efficient equipment, such as switching to LED lighting, or installing battery storage or double glaze windows.

What’s available?

Grants of between $2,500 up to $50,000 in matched funding is now available to help you make the switch to energy efficient equipment or implement new solutions.

Applying for a grant is easy, and can be done in four simple steps:

Step 1: Check your eligibility and read the guidelines

Before you start, it’s important you check your eligibility and read and understand the guidelines.

The guidelines contain essential information to help you complete your application. Make sure you read these before you purchase any goods or services.

You can read the guidelines and eligibility criteria.

Step 2: Gather your business information

Before you start, you will need to collect all the necessary documents to support your application.

Read the guidelines to see what documents are required before you lodge your application.

Step 3: Provide an estimate of your energy savings

As part of your application, you’ll need to show how your new equipment or solutions will save energy in your business. The easiest way to do this is by using the Energy Efficiency Calculator.

Check your possible energy savings and including this in your application.

Step 4: Complete your application

Once you have read the guidelines, gathered all your business documents and worked out an estimate of your energy savings, you can start your application.
